# User alerts

> Set up who finds out when something important happens in your account

Choose which account events trigger an alert, for example a user being created, and who gets notified: your team by **email** or an external system by **HTTP webhook**. From here you also create, edit, enable and delete each alert.

## Alerts screen

Go to **Settings** > **General**. There you will find the **Create** button, a search bar with filters and the table with all your alerts.

### Search and filter

The search bar combines three criteria, shown as chips:

* **Name:** free text over the alert name.
* **Category:** the module the alert belongs to.
* **Date:** a creation date range.

### Alerts table

| Column | Content |
| - | - |
| **Alerts** | Alert name |
| **Category** | Modules associated with the alert |
| **Destination** | **Webhook** or **Email** |
| **Creation date** | Date in `DD-MM-YYYY` format |
| **Actions** | Switch to enable or disable the alert and a menu with **Edit** and **Delete** |

If you don't have any alerts yet, the table shows "You don't have any alerts yet".

## Create an alert

![Form to create an alert with the name, events and delivery method](https://mintcdn.com/jelouai/rIwZB4BWD0yKetk9/assets/images/configuracion/alertas-usuarios/crear-alerta-usuario-en.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=rIwZB4BWD0yKetk9\&q=85\&s=cd535120a6686b1e52818f7b75c195a6)

**1. Open the form**

In **Settings** > **General**, click **Create**.

**2. Enter the name**

Enter the **Alert name**. It is required.

**3. Choose the events**

Turn on the switches or open the options of each module: **Channel management**, **Brain**, **User management** and **Campaigns admin**.

**4. Choose the delivery method**

Select **Email** or **HTTP webhook** and fill in its details (see below).

**5. Create the alert**

Click **Create** to save the alert.

### Delivery method

**Email**

**Notify team users.** Select platform users or type external email addresses. You need at least one user or one email address.

**HTTP webhook**

**Send JSON to an external system.** Enter the destination URL and the authentication type:

| Authentication | Details you must provide |
| - | - |
| No authentication | None |
| Basic | Username and password |
| Bearer | Token |
| API Key | Key and value |

A one-time key for the webhook is generated when you create the alert.

## Edit an alert

In the table, open the row menu and click **Edit**. The same form opens with the current data.

## Enable or disable an alert

Use the switch in the **Actions** column. You will see a success or error message when the status changes.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Disabling an alert doesn't delete it: you can enable it again whenever you want.

## Delete an alert

In the row menu, click **Delete** and type the alert name to confirm.

> [!WARNING]
>
> This action is irreversible: the records associated with the alert are lost. If you only want to pause it, disable it instead.
