Categories

Depending on the text of the message, it should be categorized. The current categories are described below.

Transactional

Messages requested by the recipient based on an event, such as purchase notifications, requests for unique codes, activity notifications, etc. These messages have no time restrictions for sending.

"Su codigo de verificacion para Banca en linea es: 263958"

"Estimado cliente, ha realizado un retiro por $30.00 en el cajero ABC. 09/11/2022 09:05:12."

Marketing

Messages that are not originated from an event or a request from the recipient, such as promotional notifications, billing messages, etc. These messages can only be sent on business days during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Message types

No parameters

The content of the message does not change.

Parameters

The content of the message may change depending on the recipient. A parameter is represented as (X) in the message text.

"Hola (X), Jelou te comunica que ya soportamos envio de SMS"

Template

The message should have a maximum of 160 characters including spaces, Jelou recommends 150 characters.

The company name must always be present in the message.

Avoid using single or double quotes ("", '') , accents (Á, á), (Ñ, ñ), opening signs (¿,!), semicolon (;) to avoid visual distortion of the messages.

Information to approve a template

  • Company: Name of the company sending the SMS.

  • Message: Text of the SMS, including variables.

  • Example: Example of the message.

  • Characters: Number of characters.
