Jelou Apps is a WhatsApp number provided by Jelou that lets you publish and share your Skills, conversational flows, and agents without needing to connect your own WhatsApp number. Instead of setting up your own number — which can involve additional operational and technical processes — Jelou offers you a ready-to-use number where you can expose your project and allow other people to interact with it directly from WhatsApp.

Publish your project

Before sharing your project through Jelou Apps, you need to publish it.
1

Open the publish menu

In the upper-right corner of your canvas, click the Publish button.
2

Choose the access mode

Select the mode in which you want to publish your project:
  • Public — anyone with the link can interact with your project.
  • Private — only the WhatsApp numbers you authorize will have access.
3

Share your project

Once published, you will receive a link or instructions depending on the mode you chose. Share it with the people you want to test your project.

Public mode

In public mode, access is done through a wa.me link that contains a unique code associated with your publication.
https://wa.me/<jelou_number>?text=123-456
ParameterDescription
<jelou_number>Jelou Apps WhatsApp number.
123-4566-digit code (three and three separated by a hyphen) that identifies your publication.
Public mode is ideal for sharing demos, prototypes, or quick tests with anyone without needing to set up access lists.

Private mode

In private mode, only the WhatsApp numbers you add to the authorized list will be able to interact with your project. No one else will have access. This mode is useful when you want to restrict testing to a specific group of users, such as your internal team or a group of beta testers.
Make sure to add phone numbers in international format (for example, +593991234567) so the system recognizes them correctly.

Connect your own WhatsApp

Jelou Apps is ideal for testing and sharing your projects quickly. However, when you are ready to operate in production, you can connect your own WhatsApp number. By doing so, anyone who writes to your number will interact directly with your project — you no longer need Jelou Apps or the access code.
