Biometrics Webview is Jelou’s solution for verifying your users’ identity inside WhatsApp. The user receives a unique link in the chat, opens a guided experience that uses their phone’s camera, and completes the process in under a minute, with auditable evidence for your team.
You don’t need a verified WhatsApp account to use Biometrics Webview. If your account isn’t verified, the link opens in the phone’s browser instead of inside WhatsApp.

What’s included

The base verification combines three stages in a single experience: You can also validate the data obtained against government sources, customize the brand, texts, and messages of the experience, and review each process in a biometric report.

Additional validations (add-ons)

Add these layers to raise the security level based on your use case:
  • Government validation: validates the document data against an official source. It is highly recommended and has an additional cost.
  • Human review (HIL): an operator reviews doubtful documents instead of rejecting them. Available only for Enterprise accounts.
We recommend government validation for banks, for processes that deliver financial products such as loans, and for service contracts such as health or insurance.
