Connect Conekta to enable the provider in your workspace and make the payment node available in Brain Studio with an embedded WebView experience.

Before you begin

Make sure you have:
  • An active Conekta account
  • Conekta public key
  • Conekta private key
  • The VAT percentage that will apply to the operation
  • The webhook configured in Conekta for the environment you will connect
  • Correct credentials for the environment: test or production
To obtain or review credentials and webhooks, follow Getting credentials.
For the checkout to open inside WhatsApp as an embedded WebView, the account must be WhatsApp Business verified.If it is not verified, the checkout will open in the device’s external browser.

Ways to start installation

You can start installing Conekta from different points in Brain Studio. All paths use the same provider configuration.
Ask Jelou Agent to add Conekta payments while building or adjusting a flow.Examples:
  • “Add Conekta payments to this flow”
  • “I need to charge with Conekta in this case”
  • “I want to process payments with Conekta”
Jelou Agent detects Conekta as an available provider from Marketplace and starts the assisted installation flow.
All installation paths use the same provider configuration. What changes is where you start the flow.

Common installation flow

Regardless of the entry point, the shared process is as follows.
The first modal asks you to choose Try with Jelou or Connect my account.
  • Try with Jelou: installs the gateway in test mode, without an account or your own credentials.
  • Connect my account: uses your test or production credentials. Continue with the steps on this page.

Choose test or production credentials

Brain Studio will ask you to select whether you will connect Conekta with test credentials or production credentials.

Complete public key and private key

Fill in the modal with:
  • Public key
  • Private key

Configure VAT and collection currency

Define the VAT rate and confirm the collection currency.For Conekta Mexico, the currency is usually MXN — Mexican peso.

Confirm connection

Click Connect integration. Brain Studio will save the configuration and make Conekta available in your workspace.

Use Conekta from the Payments node in Canvas

After installation, you can use Conekta from the Payments node in Canvas, whether the flow started from Jelou Agent, Marketplace, the Payments node, or a template.

Test vs production credentials

Conekta separates credentials by environment:
  • Test: credentials for testing without real money.
  • Production: credentials for processing real payments.
Test credentials do not process real payments. Before operating in production, connect Conekta with production credentials or use Go live.
Always use credentials from the same environment. Do not mix test keys with production keys.

Go live

If you installed Conekta with development/test credentials, you can use the payment node for testing. To operate with real payments:

Open Go live

You can start the change from either of these points:
Open the Conekta node in Canvas, go to the Advanced tab in the side panel, and select Production.

In both cases the same modal opens to move the integration to production.

Complete production credentials

Enter production credentials:
  • Public key
  • Private key

In production, each transaction has a cost of $0.10 USD per payment, deducted from your Brain Studio balance, in addition to Conekta fees.

Confirm the change

Confirm the action. From that point on, the integration operates with production credentials.

Change credentials

  • To move from development/test to production with the same installation, use Go live.
  • To rotate credentials or replace the configuration, disconnect Conekta and reinstall following the common installation flow on this page.
