The Carousel node sends a set of cards that the user can swipe through horizontally. Each card combines an image or video, text, and up to two buttons. It is ideal for showing product catalogs, service options, or any visual list where order matters.
Carousel is available only on WhatsApp Cloud channels. Other WhatsApp providers and other channels do not support it.

General configuration

  • Carousel title: Main text that accompanies the carousel (required, maximum 1,024 characters). You can write plain text, add variables such as {{$user.names}} or {{$memory.category}}, or combine both.
  • Card header type: Image or Video. Applies to every card in the carousel; it cannot be mixed.
Changing the Card header type (Image ↔ Video) clears the media files already uploaded to every card. Confirm the type before uploading content.

Cards

Each carousel allows between 2 and 10 cards. Each card has:
  • Media: Image or video shown in the header. You can upload the file or paste a URL. The type must match the Card header type you selected.
  • Card text: Short description shown below the media.
  • Buttons: Actions the user can tap.

Panel views

You can switch between two views using the icon to the right of the Cards header: Drag the icon on the left of each card to change the order. The current count is shown at the bottom right (for example, 4/10).

Buttons

Each card supports up to 2 buttons of the following types: You can reorder the buttons inside a card by dragging them.
Every card in the carousel must have the same number of buttons and the same button type. The first card defines the structure and the rest inherit it.In addition, Web URL buttons allow a maximum of 1 per card. Reply buttons allow up to two.

Use cases

A workflow that queries a store’s inventory and shows the products as cards with photo, name, price, and a Buy button that opens the product URL. Useful for AI Agent responses or campaigns with dynamic content.
A support workflow where the carousel shows each service (Medical appointment, Billing, Complaints) with an illustrative image and a Reply Choose button. The selected payload is stored in memory and a Conditional node routes the conversation to the right team.
A post-sale workflow that shows nearby branches with a photo of the storefront, the address, and a Get directions button that opens Google Maps. Cards are generated from a query to a database or an API.
A carousel with one card per subscription plan, a demo video, the plan summary, and a Subscribe button that triggers the next part of the flow. The chosen plan is stored in memory to personalize the checkout and the confirmation.
A bank workflow that presents its credit card portfolio: each carousel card uses the plastic’s image, a summary of benefits, and two Reply buttons — See benefits, which reveals the details inside the chat, and Apply, which continues the application flow. The selected card is stored in memory to prefill the customer’s data.
