Agent instructions
This is the text that defines how the agent behaves: tone, rules and the use cases it should cover.- Limit: 20,000 characters.
- Write explicit rules, not vague descriptions. State what it should do, what it should not do, and when it should ask for help.
- List the use cases it does handle and what to answer when a query falls outside them.
Audience
Defines who can talk to the agent.Connected tools
Here you choose which Jelou workflows and tools are exposed to the agent. This is what turns Meta Business Agent into something that resolves, not just something that replies. With connected tools the agent can, for example:- Check an order status.
- Verify someone’s identity.
- Generate a payment request.
Tool names and descriptions have limits defined by Meta. See Limits and verticals.
Operator handoff
When the customer asks to talk to a person, the conversation passes to Jelou with full context, so the operator continues the case without asking the customer to repeat what was already discussed.- Handoff works in any audience mode.
- In
allowlist onlythere is an extra capability: an operator can join the conversation on their own initiative, without waiting for the customer to ask.
